30 Weeks

I have 30 weeks under my ever GROWING belt with baby boy #2. He is a mover and a shaker, oh my I think we are in trouble with this one he is a spit fire already. Everything else looked great. Measured at 31 weeks (which I was 2 days shy of) and he was chilling with his head down, which makes me understand why I have been so uncomfortable lately, Laker was NEVER head down until my water broke so I never experience this kind of pressure with him, still lots of time for this guy to move around and get comfy somewhere else but until then my waddle is getting worse and worse. No signs of me going early this time and my Doctor is wishing for valentines day, so sweet of her to want me to go over due.

14 Months Old

14 months really? Where does the time go.
I can't believe my baby is so old already. He is starting to say a few more words (if it counts that me and Corey know what he is saying), he is obsessed with Bailey, they can now play together which is so cute. He is still sleeping great, minus the time change issues, 8pm-8am makes for a very happy mommy. Tonight will be his last night sleeping in his crib, tear, starting tomorrow night we are making the move to his new room and his new bed. I may never sleep again but it is time to get him ready for baby. I don't want him to be jealous of the baby for "stealing" his room and "his" bed so this will give him 2-3months to get use to it.......I hope! As with every stage I am sure, you just get it all figured out, eating, sleeping, ect. and then it is time to move on to the next so ready or not Laker it's time to be a big boy. We know you can do!

99 days to go

We are down to Double Digits here in the Kragt house waiting the arrival of baby Kragt. That is hard to think of seeing as Laker is still such a baby in our minds. We still refer to him as the baby (insert tear here) As I am sure happens with every second child we have done um well nothing to get ready for the arrival of this little bundle of joy. Maybe it is because I am lazy/tired ALL the time, maybe it is because we know it is a boy and have everything and more this little one may need, maybe it is because I haven't even put bottle's away just stored them in the "baby" cupboard until we need them. All other baby things are just in a corner in the basement waiting to be brought back upstairs even though it seems we just put them down there. Now that November is here we are getting ready for the transfer of rooms and putting Laker in his new room, mid month is when Corey and I have picked not because Laker isn't ready but we are going to enjoy a few more weeks of great sleep before we take on the fact that he may not sleep well/go to sleep well and will be able to get out of bed. I keep telling myself THEN I will get all the baby stuff out and into the nursery but we will see.

12 Month Well Child

Lakers Stats Weight 21lbs 2oz-25% , Height 29 3/4 inches-50% , Head Circumference-46.8-50% ,
  • Lakers Doctors Appointment went great, he even did good getting 4 shots. We are on the waiting list for a flu shot for him so will have to go back for one more poke in a few weeks but on the plus side Corey was with us and got the flu mist while we were there. He was thrilled I asked for him! Laker is staying right on track for his growth, even though he looks like a fatty still right at the 25%for weight and growing strong. Height is average and looking at how tall me and Corey are will most likely stay that way. Not sure if I felt like a good mom or bad mom but got the go ahead from the Doctor to give him milk and stop bottle's......um yup already did that a month ago. The Doctor said he might not like milk at first......um yup no problems there he loves it. We are still giving him a bottle before bed but Corey and I agreed one more week and then he is done! (Mostly because I have a little bit of formula left, I hate to waste that stuff it is like gold) What Laker is up to now: *still sleeping from 7:30pm-8am (mommy loves this) *not into naps- 1/2 hour morning and 1/2 hour afternoon on a good day otherwise none at all *almost walking on his own, he can run behind toys and walk around everything but is now taking 1-2 steps on his own. *Climbs up and down stairs by himself and loves to climb on and off furniture *loves to give kisses-mostly to Bailey *is starting to have a few night terrors (so sad to see this but good to know he doesn't remember) * has 2 1/2 teeth, both bottom, 1 top, and the other top and both eye teeth coming it at once (lots of motrin givin over here) *loves to eat, favorite foods are bananas, pizza, green beans, tomatoes, and cheese.

Ultra Sound Results

Baby Boy Kragt is looking very healthy. My Doctor went over all the measurements from our ultra sound last week and everything was looking good. I don't have any kind of Placenta Previa this time (whoot whoot) so we are looking at another natural with many good drugs birth. His head and length measured right around the 40-50%, his belly was in the 95% , and this is the weird one his femur was in the 90th%. So we have an average headed, average length baby with a fat gut and long femur??????? I guess he just wants to be different already. Laker measured pretty much the same way at this point, besides the strangely long femur. I am measuring a week big, and having 2 babies so close or being out of shape but Dr. G made me feel better by blaming the babies my stomach muscle are shot and I am having random pains/contraction feeling type things going on but all is normal. We are half way there!!!!!!!

Boys Boys Boys

IT"S A BOY! Yesterday we had our 20 week ultra sound and found out it is another BOY! We are so excited for Laker to have a little brother to play with, and can I mention the money it will save us having another boy. It is hard to believe we are at the half way mark, or more if he comes early like Laker but we are not planning on that. As far as the Tech could tell everything looked good and my due date was right on. I have my follow up appointment next week with the Doctor so we will get all the details then. We are praying that this little guy doesn't have the same heart defect as Laker, he has a 2% chance so we are pretty confident he won't but Laker's chance's were less than 1% go figure we are so lucky! So now the name games starts.

Gift from Grandpa Butch

Laker got a new (to him) puppy named Patches. Many years ago Corey's dad bought Patches at F.A.O Schwarz down town Chicago for Corey and (or) Heidi. We found him in Grandma Bev's basement and Laker fell in love. It is so amazing to think that 20 plus years ago Butch bought a stuffed dog that his grandson he never got to meet would love so much. Amazing how much Butch is impacting little Laker in so many ways with the things he left behind and the knowledge he taught Corey on how to be a great dad. I have a feeling there are many more "treasures" to be found in that basement that have a Grandpa Butch story to go along with them.

16 week prenatal visit

Today I had my 16 week (17 really) prenatal visit. Everything looks good baby's heartbeat was 146bpm.....hmmm could it be a boy? I am still very tired so a week or so ago I had some more blood work done to see if I had low iron or something but that came back good too, I am just tired from chasing Laker around all day! We scheduled our 20 week ultra sound for the end of the month and we can hardly wait to make sure this baby is healthy and looking good and of course to see if it is a he or she.

First time in the "D"

Sunday was Lakers first trip to Comerica Park. I don't think Corey could of been more excited to take his baby boy to see the Tigers play. Before the game we got to head out on the field and see some of the players and coaches Corey was in heaven.
It was a very long day for this little guy so by the 5th inning he needed to take a little snooze and snuggled up on daddy, again Corey couldn't of been happier that Laker wanted to cuddle with him and not me for once. It was a great day for these boys.

Baby # 2

Yesterday I had my 2nd doctors appointment since being pregnant with baby #2. The first one (at 9weeks) went good, I had an ultra sound then and everything looked good. My due date was right on with what the ultrasound said (well with in a day or two) and I made her triple check that there is only ONE baby. Yesterday (12 weeks/almost 13) again all looked good. Baby's heartbeat was 155 which is higher than Laker ever was. Laker stayed right around 140/145 with a few time's toward the end of 110/120 so we will see what this little one decides to do. I do have a order for blood work to get done yet that yes I keep putting off, but since I already know I am Rh neg and I am not rejecting this baby, something to do with Laker being Negative helped my body with this baby I don't understand all of that but that is what the professionals are for. I will get to it sometime before 28 weeks when I get the dreaded needle in the butt. On a funny note and I didn't tell Corey this yet but my doctor said if this baby is Neg also I have some pretty dominate genes (positive normally gets passed down sorry Corey) She asked if Laker looked like me at all and I had to say most people say he does so there is a good chance this baby may get my big brown eyes time will only tell. Another appointment in 4 weeks and then I think I will be setting up my ultra sound.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Fathers Day Corey! So today being Fathers day and it Corey's first, Laker and I wanted to spoil Corey. We let him sleep in made him breakfast in bed and waited on him hand and foot ALL day.
Okay no we did not.
Corey's first Fathers day so did not go down like that! Sorry Cor. What really happened........I got up early with Laker since he was done sleeping at 7am, Corey got up around 8 and said him and Laker would play I could go back to bed. Well Mr. unhappy teething baby cried for an hour and a half when i was sleeping. Not such a fun father/son bonding morning. Then Bailey who has never in the past 11years ran away decided to chase the neighbor dog down the road. Corey and I had to chase after that dumb dog. Again Corey was not real happy to chase his dog down the road in his sweat pants. But after all of the he ended up having a pretty good afternoon. Your the best Dad ever Corey we Love you.
Here is a picture of Laker and Daddy actually happy!

Getting so BIG!

Laker doesn't like to crawl on the tile or wood floors in the house so he came up with his own way of moving around the house.
He is starting to pull himself up on things.
Time is going so fast and he is SO BUSY right now but we are enjoying everyday and seeing the new things he discovers.

8 months old

Laker is 8 month old today! WOW where did the time go. He started to crawl last night, not far or very good yet but he can get where he wants to go......

The tongue out seems to help
He seems to love the dog food!
And we had to bust out the big boy carseat.
